"Originally I had Dave out to quote for new damp proofing in the house. He was so helpful and knowledgeable that I hired him to project manage all the renovations. He gathered a superb team including plasterer, stone mason, electrician, joiner wooden floor and carpet fitter and decorator. All aspects of the work were of an exceptionally high standard. Dave took away all the stress of a project like this and was able to interpret the many ideas that were in my head. He also gave me a great deal of good advice such as painting the dining room white and placing a large mirror to reflect light and make the room much brighter. I kept adding onto the list and Dave was both patient and accommodating each time and it was rather a lot! There is absolutely no way that I could have possibly managed this project without him and the end result is that Dave and his team have created a beautiful home for my daughter. "My wife and I employed David to fix a persistent problem with damp in our dining room and off-shot kitchen walls. We are very happy to recommend him unreservedly for any similar problem. After earlier dealings with trades who either failed to reply or didn't turn up to see the proposed job, we welcomed David's professional attitude. He replied almost immediately to our initial contact, made an appointment for within a few days and visited us to view the problem. Throughout the time he was working for us we were impressed by his communication and timetabling skills. David quickly diagnosed the source of our damp and proposed a scheme of work to remedy it. He also thought, and was proved right, that there could be further damage to flooring joists and that he would need to check this. He explained to us clearly what work would be necessary and why, how he would carry it out, the timetable and costs and gave us a detailed work spec and itemised costing before we made our decision. The work itself was carried out over three days without delays. He then returned a few days later to replace skirting boards removed at the beginning. All of the work done appears entirely satisfactory and he also removed all debris and left the work areas clean. Given the extent of the work the cost was entirely reasonable. If you have damp problems in your house David has the training, skills, experience and, most important of all, professional commitment to deal with them."
