Allerton Damp Proofing Hull

"Monday at 8.23am (due between 8.30 and 10.30am), two very friendly chaps arrived from Allerton Damp Proofing to damp proof my front room of my 200 year old cottage. I’d followed all the instructions received, so all was in order for their arrival. Wednesday. Arrived home 5pm, to find all work completed. The room left immaculate. Floor clean, skirting boards all resealed and wiped down. No dust, anywhere! This is the 2nd time of using this company. From first enquiry, to site visit, to all communications, to the work being done, to today…no other word than OUTSTANDING service and workmanship. Outside walls also damp proofed. From what could be a nightmare, this firm take away ALL the hassle …last time I had a radiator to be removed / put back, a door frame replaced..and project managed from start to finish. I stayed with friends during the work. Did pop in at 6pm on the Monday evening. All the plaster had been removed back to the brick, and the room was clear of any debris. I often tell my delegates…integrity is doing the right thing when nobody is watching. Highly recommended if you need this kind of work doing, and you want top service from start to finish."

I was contacted my phone aswell as email to check everything was ok and answer any questions, email reminders were sent of the dates the work would be done, which was quicker than I expected and the area left very tidy. "Their surveyor for damp in ground floor walls suggested removing plaster up to ceiling level. Ridiculous.! Unnecessary! The quotation detailed extra payments for: extra floor protection covering and dust extraction equipment at inflated prices. The overall quoted price was double other quotes I received. Think long and hard before engaging this company."

"Allerton were able to timetable necessary work to fit in with when was convenient with me, including immediate extra work when further issues became apparent. All staff were friendly and extremely helpful though they didn't always keep me informed of prep work such as test results. The guys who came to do the work were tidy and helpful especially Rob and Peter who ensured, that while the floor and joists in the dining room were being replaced, I could still access other rooms from the dining room. They also mopped and hoovered floors at the end of the work before leaving."
