"Having lived in a new-build home for just over a year, I started to notice that the air in the house felt quite stale and stuffy. Because the house is so airtight and well insulated, I decided to do a bit of research and came across AMC 365, who specialise in PIV (Positive Input Ventilation) systems. I got in touch with Damien and asked him loads of questions, which he was more than happy to answer. He talked me through the different options available and helped me choose the best solution for my home before booking me in for a free survey. I also mentioned the issues I was having with my bathroom extractor fans. Moisture from showering was condensing in the extractors and dripping back onto the floor, and they seemed like the cheapest option the builders could have installed. During the survey, Damien tested the extractors using an anemometer, which measures airflow, and it turned out they were extracting next to nothing. Damien explained that the extractor fans they supply and fit run continuously at a low level and have built-in humidity sensors. When they detect an increase in moisture, they automatically switch into boost mode. He even had a spare extractor fan with him and was able to show me how it worked. Since having the PIV system installed, I’ve noticed a massive difference in the air quality throughout the house. The stale, stuffy feeling has completely gone, and the constant supply of fresh, filtered air has made the house feel much fresher. It’s also very cheap to run and has definitely been worth the investment. The new extractor fans have made a huge difference too. There’s no more water dripping back onto the floor, and as soon as the shower goes on, the fan kicks into boost mode. Once the moisture level drops, it continues extracting at a lower rate, which is great for drying towels quicker. I also don’t have to wipe down mirrors and tiles anymore, as any condensation clears really quickly. I can highly recommend Damien and AMC 365. At no point was he a pushy sales man. He simply explained the options, recommended what he thought would work best for my home, and left me to make my own decision. The installation only took a few hours, and the team were professional, friendly, and left everything clean and tidy afterwards. Thanks, AMC 365!"
