"Corstorphine Gas Heating engineers, Jo and his team did a really excellent job installing our new radiators. Worked efficiently and with skill to navigate our underfloor areas installing and re-positioning new piping and ensure our new more modern radiators worked well and were ideally positioned for our needs. Very professional, well organised, skilled, polite and cleaned up as they went along. Looking forward to a smarter warmer winter this year! Would highly recommend Corstorphine Gas Services."

"After my neighbour recommended Corstorphine Gas following their new bathroom installation, I contacted the company about my own refurbishment. Robbie visited to discuss my requirements and suggest suitable solutions. The estimates arrived promptly, and we agreed on the price and start date. I received a schedule confirming the work to be carried out and the agreed dates. Corstorphine Gas arranged all the trades, which was a great help given how difficult that can be. All waste was collected and removed, and I was very pleased with the finished results. I’m very happy to recommend Corstorphine Gas. The whole team worked well together and delivered a new bathroom and ensuite that look great and exceeded my expectations."

"I had a bathroom renovation completed by CGS, having previously used them for boiler servicing and outside tap installation and I couldn’t be happier with my new bathroom! They executed my vision on schedule and kept me updated throughout as I chose to move out during the period of the works. I found them to be very friendly and communicative. I thought the price was very reasonable too- they sourced all materials and organised all trades. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them"

"Boiler Installation April 17th – Significant Safety and Workmanship Concerns My boiler installation was scheduled for one day, but the experience was unprofessional and unsafe. The initial fitter arrived late and left early, leaving the flue bracket loosely secured into plasterboard. A second installer later added fixings, but the bracket still has a visible gap behind it and the screw heads have been battered/stripped, showing a continued lack of care. Major Safety Failures: The most serious issue was the lack of a gas safety check for the boiler and cooker. I repeatedly asked CGS if this had been completed and was told it had. After pressing for details they couldn't provide, they finally admitted the check was never performed. Furthermore, the carbon monoxide alarm was left perched on top of the boiler. Because this Honeywell model only activates once it is slid into its wall bracket, it was completely non-operational for several weeks. Leaving a customer with a new gas installation and a non-functional safety alarm is a grave safety breach. Follow-up and Communication: Alarm Substitution: During the follow-up, they tried to substitute the Honeywell alarm with a cheap, battery-removable version. When I rejected this, they suggested a third appointment just to screw the original bracket to the wall. I eventually fitted it myself to ensure it was finally operational and to avoid further wasted time. Inaccurate Info: The installer provided inaccurate information regarding the water condition and cleaning duration, which contradicted Bosch’s official guidelines. Warranty: I had to specifically request (non Bosch) warranty information as it was never mentioned. The combination of poor workmanship, initial dishonesty regarding safety checks, and leaving a household with a "dead" CO alarm is deeply concerning. I did not receive the invoice paid document after making payment in full. Communication with CGS was cold and dismissive. I dealt with three different people who used patronizing phrases like "understanding my frustration" instead of fixing the errors. . Despite this catalogue of errors and safety breaches, the company acted as if nothing had happened and sent me a link to leave this review. UPDATE (26/05/2026): The company’s response does not align with the facts. Beyond their written admission that the mandatory gas safety check on my cooker was bypassed, no physical evidence or data readings were provided to prove the boiler itself was safely commissioned on April 17th. Furthermore, leaving the Honeywell carbon monoxide alarm uninstalled and deactivated on top of the unit left the property entirely unprotected for weeks."
