ED PAVING LTD

"I chose ED Paving because of their positive reviews, but unfortunately my experience was extremely disappointing. The patio itself looks decent enough overall, and Daniel, one of the workmen, was polite and helpful. Sadly, everything else about the experience was stressful. Before booking, I explained that I couldn't afford the price to increase beyond the quoted £3,200, and Elijah assured me I would not pay any more, no matter what happens. I was also told I'd be invited to the showroom to choose my paving before work started. Despite repeatedly chasing, this never happened. Instead, on the first day of the job, Elijah arrived with just three slab offcuts for me to choose from, leaving me feeling rushed into making such an important decision. Communication throughout the project was extremely poor. The team regularly failed to turn up when promised, often without any warning, leaving me waiting at home and constantly chasing updates. As an autistic person, the uncertainty and lack of communication caused me a huge amount of unnecessary stress. The team also left my property in a poor state. Cement was left on my hose, garden furniture and my neighbour's decking, my lawn was damaged, bricks were thrown into my flower beds and waste cement was dumped in my garden. Elijah admitted that the way the team had worked wasn't acceptable and apologised and despite repeatedly promising it would be made right by the end of the job, this did not happen. Elijah gave me £100 off but I still felt as though this was not a fair reduction considering the problems I faced. To make matters worse, I was later told there would be an extra charge for work that I believed was included in the original quote. After reminding Elijah of what had been agreed he continued to say I would need to pay extra, but this should not have been the case. Again, I felt pressured into going along with it just to get the job to continue and the overall finished look of the patio was poor because of this. Elijah then told me that he would knock off the cost of the extra work despite being told during the quote that there would be no additional costs. The most disappointing part came at the end. I was pressured into paying the full balance even though the job wasn't complete, because I was told Elijah would return to finish the outstanding work and sign my 10-year guarantee once payment had been made. I trusted that promise and paid in full. The patio is still unfinished. Elijah has never returned to sign the guarantee, meaning it still hasn't come into effect, and he no longer responds to my messages. I paid on 3rd June and followed up on 15th June but no response. It's a real shame because the patio itself is nice, despite still being unfinished, but good workmanship means very little when it's paired with poor communication, broken promises, damage to property and non-existent aftercare. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend ED Paving and would give them zero stars if I could."

"Excellent!!!!! I went to several companies for a quote, and decided to go with Ed paving when Elijah came to quote me, I just got good vibes and have seen much of his work around my area. I definitely made the right choice. These Guys are amazing, they have transformed the front of my house, so efficient so quick, yet so methodical, the organisation of them all working together as a team was so impressive.Clean tidy workers too! Hats off to them all, I can honestly say I have never seen workmen slog so much in my life, no stopping for fag breaks, only having max of 30 mins for dinner break. Elijah the owner must be so proud having such incredible workers. If you’re considering having your drive or patio done, I 100% recommend Ed Paving and have already booked in with them again for my next project. Photos will follow……."

"Over the moon with how well put together the operation was from quote to installation. Committed to the job with early starts and attention to detail. Would highly recommend and will definitely use again for our research garden. Great value for money and perfected driveway."

"Fantastic service from Elijah and his team, friendly and professional, they transformed our driveway into exactly what we wanted. We was that pleased we also added on extra patio's in the garden and had a new gate. Would highly recommend and we would use again for any future work!"

"We engaged the team from ED Paving to take out all of the old patio, four different areas, prepare a new shed base & create a flowing path up the garden to a patio area and shed. Elijah recommended the block paving and it is completely in keeping with the style of our house. The team, lead by Mario, were here every morning at 7:30 am prompt and worked through until it was dark. I cannot fault the work ethic of the guys as there was a lot of digging and manual earth/sand/hardcore/blocks, there is no access for any diggers etc. Elijah was always on hand to monitor, bring lunch and to make sure I was informed at every stage, any queries or concerns were dealt with and nothing was too much trouble. My wife and I are very pleased with the end results and would recommend ED Paving. Great work, great team, great to deal with."
