"High quality workmanship, would definitely recommend. I've used them several times now for work on my house, shelving, shutter work, wall panelling and installing a fireplace. Friendly and good communication. Bryan the joiner is particularly good and Katie in the office is lovely to deal with. I found them to be prompt and efficient when providing estimates. Fiona, EH9."

"Needed a small job doing quickly. Both joiners came when they said and the job was completed in the tight time frame we requested to minimise any disruption to our patients. Great service. Thank you."

"I called Edinburgh Joinery Services in the summer and a helpful gentleman came to the flat and took down details of the work. A long time then passed before I received a quote from the company. I followed up with a very pleasant lady who agreed dates for the work to be done - a month in advance. We agreed start times specifically and I cleared the flat in preparation. On the morning the joiner was supposed to arrive I waited for over an hour. I called the company and e mailed them. Eventually I got hold of the receptionist, who informed me the joiner was sick. Although I am very sympathetic to illness, surely there is a way of letting the customer know to avoid a lengthy wait? The company needs to have a better system set up to communicate absence to the customer. I was further informed by the receptionist that she would get in touch with me by lunchtime in order to let me know if the joiner was coming the following day, or if we needed to rearrange the job. I waited - lunchtime came and went. I called and e mailed - and had no response from the company. Towards the end of the day, having still no clue as to whether the joiner was coming or not on the following day and not knowing whether to rearrange my own work, I had to e mail to cancel the job. I have recently had two very good experiences with flooring companies - so it is disappointing to have to write a negative review, particularly when the staff themselves were actually pleasant people. The company needs to be a lot more organised, respond to customers more promptly and efficiently and have proper systems in place to communicate changes in arrangements. I have no idea about the quality of work so cannot comment on that, but I would not recommend them based on this experience."

"They visited to prepare an estimate and promised they would provide one shortly, guy said job would be no problem. Then I heard nothing and they ignored my emails chasing for a response. They've wasted my time."

"I sent my plans to this business (edinburgh-joinery on craigcrook road)for a quote for a conversion. After months they not only had not contacted me for to arrange a quote but they have not returned the drawings despite repeated requests to do so. Keep well clear would be my advice."
