"We had a terrible moth infestation last year and called in Environ because they seemed able to treat both the house and our wool clothing effectively. We heat treated all our woolens and gave the house 3 treatments but the moths came back. So we used Environ again and this time we asked them to remove the carpets before the second treatment. They said they would vacuum before the second treatment because we can't vacuum for 10 days after the treatment. However we have just arrived home to find the house in a huge mess, completely unlivable for the next 10 days. Given that they failed in the first moth treatment we probably should not have tried them again anyway, but this mess is completely unacceptable. Avoid this company."
"Michael arrived to block the numerous holes that gavr the mice access. He is such a pleasant capable guy we were immediately put at ease and confident in his work. He went above and beyond our expectations. Thank you Michael"
"Happy with the service provided and explained clearly any questions asked and will definitely pass the number prices but worth hiring professional who know exactly how to deal with these issues promptly"
"David & Colleague provided a great service, were quick and thorough. A report was produced the next day, and the visit went well. The company always send staff who know the building well, so little or no building assistance was needed. Great company"
"Sharp practices? You be the judge. We booked Environ Pest Control London's UV tracking service to locate ingress points after proofing work (the latter carried out by another company) at a cost of £225. The technician carried out a written survey, identifying the washing machine area, kitchen sink pipes and dishwasher as "high-risk" ingress points. On the first visit, the technician placed a strip of Deadline Fluorescent UV Tracking Gel alongside the washing machine. The packaging recommends "liberal application" and the strip alongside the washing machine, clearly visible to residents, was consistent with this advice. However, the strip placed in the kitchen, out of sight of residents, could best be described as a VERY STINGY application of Deadline UV tracking gel. The written survey had identified the kitchen sink pipes and dishwasher as "high-risk" ingress points. However, the VERY STINGY strip of UV tracking gel was placed under the oven, located on the other side of the kitchen. During the two-week period that the UV tracking gel was in place, Environ sent a quote for proofing work (£696, including VAT). As the UV tracking gel had not been checked at this point, we asked for a breakdown of costs but were advised that this was not possible. Mouse sightings in the vicinity of the kitchen sink pipes and dishwasher, identified as "high-risk" on the written survey report, continued between the first and second UV tracking visits. However, on the second visit, the technician advised that the mice had not passed through the VERY STINGY strip of UV tracking gel .... which he had located on the other side of the kitchen to the areas identified as "high-risk" on the written survey. It was therefore recommended that all of the proofing work at a cost of £696, including VAT, be carried out. Readers of this review can decide for themselves whether the UV tracking in the kitchen was set up to fail from the outset after it was: 1. Applied in a VERY STINGY strip out of sight of residents (unlike the "liberal application" in the highly-visible washing machine area) 2. Located away from the area identified as "high-risk" in the written survey report 3. Potentially done so to avoid locating specific ingress points in favour of recommending full proofing at a cost of £696, including VAT 4. Only one strip placed in the kitchen (one strip was also used for the washing machine, a much smaller area) We've since had another proofing company take a look at the kitchen, who immediately identified three ingress breaches in the earlier proofing work and repaired/replaced with high-quality materials. They were also very happy to move appliances to carry out the work. In the attached image, the strip on the left of the photograph was placed in a highly-visible spot alongside the washing machine, the strip on the right of the image was placed out of sight of residents in the kitchen."
