"A family member used these guys a few months ago and had an absolute disaster from start to finish. The level of workmanship was so poor that it had to be redone By another local business. To make matters worse, we were on a bike ride today and one of their drivers decided to try and run my partner off the road for cycling on the road and not the pavement. I wish I shared a review months ago about this joke of a company. Do yourself a favour and use a reputable business."

"I used this company through a recommendation, would I recommend them to someone else? Definitely not! A conservatory disaster from the start (June 2022) and I was almost conned out of thousands of pounds! This company does not work to the recommended building guidelines when it comes to the groundworks for conservatories. The builder this company uses is an absolute cowboy and would be a perfect candidate for Watchdog! Thankfully my brother in law is a building inspector and saw the alarm bells ringing from the start. The foundations were only dug to 30cm deep and 17cm at the shallowest point! When I questioned the builder on the depth of the foundations he replied saying β€œI do all conservatories this deep”. The recommended foundations depth for a conservatory should be 1 metre, 60cm minimum. The builder carrying out the work seemed to think that foundations depth are from DPC and not ground level. The pointing of the external 2.1 m wall wasn’t done either as apparently the outer wall wasn’t visible, the builder was made to take the whole lot down and start again, that included digging out the foundations! I was left with a huge pile of earth left outside my back door for about a week stopping me accessing the back of the house via my back door, piles of earth were left on the lawn because the skip was full! The PVC part of the conservatory wasn’t too bad as it goes, fairly good quality although the gap between one of the windows and the wall seemed a little on big side? Their use of gap filling mastic was extremely poor and done to a very low standard! Their suggestion of a suspended wooden floor also would have failed standards as there was no ventilation (no air bricks installed), they also wanted to lay wooden beams on an existing concrete floor which according to professional advice is a big no no! Since the conservatory has been finished there has been water ingress in the area down the side of the window / wall. That had to be resolved, not to the best standard of work. I also had to ask for the electrical work they did to be certified to which I was told β€œWe don’t normally do that”. Another word of warning, apparently this company doesn’t accept Credit or Debit cards. This means there’s no protection under the section 75 credit consumer act if there is a problem as I have encountered. I feel sorry for anyone who has used Glasstec to have a conservatory built, you may have been duped already?! If you are going to use Glasstec Hove, probably best to employ a professional builder to over see the work or do the groundwork/ brickwork. Glasstec finally completed the conservatory at the end of October 2022! There is now signs of rust appearing on the French door handles on the outside."

"Ben came and quoted us for new windows and doors, he was a lovely chap and very amenable. The quote was very competitive and the installation was quick and easy. There was a couple of minor snags but the team came out two days later and put everything right. One of the snags was a fault with the glass which was during manufacture (out of their control) and they had it replaced within a week without any drama."
