"I contacted this company to obtain a quotation for a replacement window while renovating my home. From the outset, I made it clear that any installation would not be required until September. During the survey visit, I was asked to sign a document and was verbally told it was for quotation purposes. I have dyslexia and was not given the opportunity to take the document away or read it properly before signing. I was never made aware that I was supposedly committing to an immediate order or authorising the window to be manufactured. When our renovation plans changed and I advised that we no longer required the window, I was informed that it had already been ordered and was asked to pay £450.68 for the materials. This came as a complete surprise, as I genuinely believed I had only requested and accepted a quotation. I am very disappointed with the communication and the way this matter has been handled. As a customer, I expected clear and transparent information about what I was signing and the implications of doing so. Instead, I have been left in a dispute over something I did not believe I had agreed to. Based on my experience, I would encourage anyone using this company to read every document carefully, ask for copies before signing, and ensure they fully understand exactly what they are agreeing to."

"I have just had all of my windows replaced. Bi fold doors installed & 3 doors replaced by Holburys. The work was scheduled to take 4/5 days & was completed on time. The finish was completed to a high standard. The guys cleaned up after each day of work & the communications were excellent throughout. "Holbury Home Improvements Ltd does not exist anymore. They are now Holbury Home Improvement (although, the headed paper still says Holbury Home Improvements and they're still using the same phone number so who really knows?). After a couple of months of hassling the company we finally received a letter explaining that all previous warranties/guarantees are invalid!!! They will not honour previous warranties even though the new sole trader is the same person that owned the previous Ltd company. Do not choose this person if you want a guarantee. Who's to say that in another year or two they won't be called Holbury Homes Improvement or Holbury's Home Improvements, or some other variant of the name, leaving even more people with invalid warranties, forced to pay to repair the previous company's work."
