They gave us some very useful ideas on the overall design, and when we had chosen our preferred option, they designed a very attractive and highly functional extension, which looks wonderful and is a pleasure to live in. Everyone at Howie Architects was a pleasure to work with, and they also recommended excellent other professionals including our structural engineer, building control company and a lighting consultant. The drawings which Alastair’s team produced were also excellent, in fact our builders, who were a highly professional company, said they were the best drawings they had ever worked with. He and James really listened to my needs and my ideas and then came up with a very elegant solution, creating a whole new roof structure which was the key to making an ugly and dysfunctional old bungalow into a really livable modern home.
