Optimus Fencing

"⚠️UPDAT SEE END⚠️ Thought very long and hard about leaving a review. Contacted Ste in May, He came out measured up, gave me a price that was acceptable to us gave us a date, then asked could he change to next day as he was taking his children to Blackpool overnight, no problem with that, he even agreed to payment on completion as Id told him Id had issues with paying another contractor upfront. They arrive Ste, his friend and 2 young men. Started and did not stop all day and it was warm, I supplied drinks hot & cold, everything look great, the old fencing was staying for me to make a planter with so not a lot of debris to remove. Ste asked could he leave 4 panels and 1 post till next day. On closer inspection I found the post holes to no be fully filled with cement and a panel held up by a brick and a large cut out in a corner flag that now needs fixing. I have since messaged him on 5th June 1 week after he finished "Hiya Ste, can you let me know when your picking these panels up and can your bring some cement for these holes Thanks Saz." on 6th he replied "Hi good evening Yes i will bring cement To back fill the holes And collect the waste I will call monday if thats ok" I replied "That would be fabulous thanks, Need speak to you about some other jobs while your here." 9th June "Morning Ste, Can you let me know when you can get here so I can get garden cleaned up. Thanks Saz" 15th June "Hi Ste, ​I'm extremely disappointed that you haven't returned to finish the job and remove the extra panels as agreed, and that you are now ignoring my messages. As I mentioned before, I was really hoping to discuss some further work with you while you were here, but the lack of communication is very frustrating. ​Please let me know when you will be back to complete the work and clear the waste. Sarah" Since then there has been no communication yet I see photos of the work he done is shown proudly on his socials, Should he ever have the decency to contact me or remedy his work I may consider changing my review. After writing this review I recieved a message from Ste on 27/6 as follows. Hi sarah i am so sorry I havnt got no excuse for not turning up I can call next week if thats possible I will fix all problems and sort all issues Thank ste On 28/6 I gave him the benefit of the doubt and replied to him with as follows, ​Good morning Ste, I appreciate you reaching out. I've been let down before, so I really need a guaranteed date and time for next week. Please let me know when you will be here to complete the cement work, fix the damaged flag, and remove the waste. There is also a few other issues that need addressing on the day that came to light afterwards that will need remedying. Thanks Sarah, And again no reply or commitment to finish the job, my last message to him was on 4/7. ​"Hi Ste, following up on your message from last week. You said you would call out this week to fix the cement work, the damaged flag, and the other issues. I haven't heard from you with a day or time. Can you please let me know today what is happening?" Sarah Totally IGNORED I do not think he has any intention of finishing the job, yet proudly shows off the work on his socials. This is why contractors get a bad name."

"Poor standard of work, asked for exactly same panels to ones he fitted previously and got given these!! Told they might be a little darker or lighter than previous not a completely different colour. Definetely dont allow to do work while your not in. Avoid!!"
