"Ross has been very helpful assisting with a party wall survey/award both sensitively and professionally. I would certainly use Ross again and recommend to others given his clear level of expertise."
"I'm so glad that I opted to have Ross carry out a RICS level 2 Homebuyer's Survey on my behalf. As a first time buyer, he's made this part of the process seamless. He offers useful advice and explains things in terms that can be understood so that you definitely have all of the information required to consider whether you want to purchase the property. Not only this but Ross is timely with getting the report back to you and is happy and eager to answer any queries that you may have. He is also thorough with his searches and presents his findings in terms of what you should prioritise should you go ahead with buying the property. Ross was recommended to me by a friend and, I too, would definitely recommend his services to anyone."
"Ross provided a level 3 survey for us. We chose him based on the services he offered, experience and the good reviews he had. We are happy to sing his praises too! The report was detailed, with lots of photos to demonstrate the points being made. Photos of the roof showed missing and slipped tiles, along with an area of concern due to poor design. He also showed pictures from a thermal imaging camera and a scope within a wall cavity. He investigated a visible damp patch and identified the area in the roof and attic that was responsible (it was that poorly designed area). His tests reassured us that it had been fixed. After we had time to digest the report he took us around the property to show us the items mentioned. This gave us a chance to discuss any concerns and also how to rectify them. We felt confident that we knew what to expect with the property and that we could go ahead and proceed with the purchase without any delays. Something that was also helpful during the meeting was to discuss ideas and plans for alterations to the property. We’re not at the stage to use it yet, but Ross also offers a design service for this. So if you’re looking for a more personal service, as opposed to relying on a typed report to read, then Ross is someone who can provide those little extras that make your biggest purchase a little easier."
"We were extremely pleased to have instructed Ross to produce a Level 3 survey and report for a 1930s residential property in Gosforth. His report was very promptly produced, impressively thorough, with a lot of illustrative photos and useful details. He also offered helpful recommendations for improvements to the property, along with cost estimates and timeframes. The report was very easy to understand for non-experts too. We had a 1.5-hour follow-up phone call with him to address all of our questions, and he was always patient and knowledgeable throughout. We also got the impression that he actually really enjoys and is passionate about his work, which explains his professionalism and expertise. We will certainly contact Ross for our future property dealings. Thank you again, Ross!"
"Ross recently carried out a Level 3 (structural) survey for us on a Victorian property. His communication from the start was fantastic. Even before we'd booked him in, he was happy to have a chat about the best survey type for the property and was happy to talk through any work we were thinking of doing to the property so he could check it for us when he was there. 7 days after the survey, we received an incredibly detailed and thorough report in excess of 120 pages. In addition to this, he also gave us some extremely useful comments on the work we're thinking of doing. Ross immediately offered to have a chat with us once we'd read the report if we had any questions or areas of concern. We took him up on this offer after having read the report and prepared a long list of questions, all of which he was more than happy to answer for us. We spoke to him for an hour to go through all of our questions. He was very thorough with his answers and made sure we were happy with our understanding of his findings. He even suggested the order in which we should do some of the work and how we could bundle it together into 1 or 2 larger jobs to save money. There were some concerns he raised with the property which he was unable to check with the survey as they needed more intrusive work. We are already speaking to Ross about doing this work for us once we have the keys to the property. I couldn't recommend him highly enough to anyone needing a survey done in the area. He is extremely approachable and thorough and will definitely go the extra mile to make sure you fully understand his findings. Many thanks for all your help Ross and we look forward to working with you again soon."
