"TLDR; Great company, well priced, easy, helpful, efficient. Definitely try them! Long story/detailed review: On the double June back holiday 2022 our toilet broke. When we flushed, the pipe was returning all the water into our bathroom floor via the back pipe/floor, flooding our bathroom. I initially went through home insurance emergency care who couldn't attend till the next day then couldn't fix it and said it was likely a collapsed pipe and my floor would probably need to be dug up as the leak was past the concrete! Home insurance didn't cover trace and access and told me to find a company to do this before carrying on with any fix and got us a hotel room for 3 nights so we could actually "go" somewhere (only toilet in house). I rang 7 different companies and explained the situation. They either didn't do this kind of service (wasn't clear) or couldn't do it till Monday even when they said 24/7 (4 days away and we couldn't use the only toilet we have). My partner and I have ADHD and I was feeling very overwhelmed and frustrated with this situation that I hadn't dealt with before. I just needed help (and needed the loo!). Eventually, after trawling through the many listings on Google and 7 failed attempts at help, I tried calling Servo-Rod (8th company we tried!) I told each one I rang the same info about the situation, what happened up to now and the advice we were given. The lady who answered at Servo-Rod actually listened and was so helpful and logical. She kindly explained that it's most likely a simple blocked pipe so they wouldn't do CCTV first. Their approach would be to try to unblock the drain first and do further investigation with the camera if needed. Given there was no clear reason why the pipe would have collapsed it would make most sense to go for unblocking the drain and then do more if that didn't work. It sounded reasonable and logical to me so we were happy to proceed, they took our details and said the on call engineer would ring us to arrange a time. I don't know why noone else could or would advise us of this and in such a simple, clear and logical manner (including the emergency engineer). The on call engineer, rang us about 40 mins later on the bank holiday Friday to say he likely wouldn't get to us today due to other jobs and explained that he didn't want to say he would try to fit us in when he didn't think it was likely, but offered to attend at 9am next day (Saturday). Thankfully with the hotel room we could wait another night. We very much appreciated his honesty and respect of our time so we wouldn't be sat around waiting for him when he likely can't make it, we could at least focus on other things till the next day and plan accordingly. Matt (great guy, engineer) arrived bang on time and got straight to work. Less than 50 minutes later the job was done. A simple blocked pipe that some rods and a hose fixed. He kindly took time to talk to us and explain bits about the drains, gave some advice and handed us the very reasonable bill. Now after 2 days, home emergency, home insurance, hotel room, panicking about the concrete floor needing to be dug up and ringing around 7 other companies not able to help, we can finally go to the toilet in our own house again! Fast, helpful, efficient, considerate, well priced and very easy to deal with (Rang Friday bank holiday afternoon and they came round 9am next day, Saturday). I'll certainly be saving their number for when we need help again. If you need help with blocked drains or anything else they do, definitely try this company! Felt like a very honest, considerate, easy and affordable company to deal with. With our ADHD it's great to find a company so easy, honest and efficient."
