Shaker carpentry

"Alex built us a fitted alcove wardrobe for our child's bedroom and a larger 6-door corner unit for ours. The process was incredible from start to finish; Alex listened to our requirements, took our own input/ideas into consideration and designed 2 amazing units that have really changed the spaces they're in. Storage is such an under appreciated thing until you have After the initial consultation and design stage Alex and his team completed the work quickly and efficiently. The team were on site for 3 days in total, and they were pleasant, friendly, and worked very tidily. The finished units really add to our home; both in terms of practical storage solutions and from an aesthetic perspective. I would wholeheartedly recommend using Alex for your bespoke joinery. You get the craftsmanship and quality offered by larger competitors with the personality and down-to-earth nature of a smaller, independent business."

"We are really pleased with our bespoke wardrobes, shelves, desk and cabinet. The work completed is of high quality and thought, it is clear Shaker Carpentry take pride in their work. Alex paid great attention to detail and offered creative solutions to maximise storage in a limited space. The team worked efficiently, were friendly and tidy, and kept us updated throughout. We would definitely recommend Shaker Carpentery and would use them again!"

"We have done 2 projects with Alex. We were looking for a carpenter to work with us and add some unique features into our designs. Most others weren’t able to really understand and preferred to stick with generic designs. Alex listened to what we wanted and was great bringing our ideas to life! He was a pleasure to have around the house and he will be the first I would call when I need something else done!"

"Alex is fantastic - did such a good job on our alcove units and wardrobes. Very good attention to detail and worked really quickly. We’re so happy with the result and would really recommend the company"

"We’ve worked with Alex of Shaker Carpentry on three bespoke storage units over the past year, and each one has been completed to an exceptionally high standard. He and his team operate with a high level of workmanship, attention to detail, and professionalism. Alex and team work efficiently without compromising on quality, and their pace of delivery is genuinely impressive. I’ve particularly appreciated their “clean as you go” approach - each day ends with the space left tidy and usable, which makes a real difference in a busy home. What sets Alex and his team apart is their collaborative approach. At the design stage, Alex listens carefully to your needs and design ideas, is open to adjustments, and offers thoughtful, practical suggestions to improve the original plan, always in a respectful and solution-focused way. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Alex and Shaker Carpentry to anyone looking for high-quality, bespoke work. A fantastic experience from start to finish."
