"From our very first meeting, we knew we were in safe hands, and looking back now, we genuinely cannot imagine having navigated this build without them. We set out to create an A rated new build on a family site, replacing an old derelict cottage. The project was complex from the outset: a challenging, undulating site located near a Special Area of Conservation, significant planning considerations, and enormous potential for views that we were determined to maximise. As complete novices to the building process, we needed more than just design expertise. We needed guidance, clarity and reassurance at every stage. That is exactly what we received. They took every one of our requests and ideas seriously from day one. The initial design reflected what we wanted while carefully maintaining the character and spirit of the original cottage. Where we needed advice or technical clarification, they provided it clearly and honestly, but always ensured the final decisions reflected our priorities, not theirs. We were fortunate to have stunning views, and the finished design frames and showcases them beautifully. The house has a real wow factor, something visitors constantly comment on, yet it still feels like home and completely true to us. It was also very important to us that our home would feel like a calm and peaceful space. It is incredible how many people have walked through the door and immediately said they just feel so calm inside it. Perhaps it is the way Lisa and Ronan carefully positioned the windows and maximised the natural light, but there is a real sense of balance and tranquillity throughout the house that we could never have achieved on our own. They handled all of the technical drawings, compliance requirements and paperwork seamlessly, which was invaluable given the environmental sensitivities and complexity of the site. They also managed the working relationship between ourselves and the contractor with professionalism and balance, ensuring communication was clear and issues were resolved constructively. When initial pricing came back over budget, they were incredibly proactive, helping us thoughtfully redesign elements of the build without compromising the integrity of the overall vision. At no point did we feel overwhelmed or unsupported. Every stage was explained clearly, and they were always available to answer questions, no matter how small. This was not a straightforward project, and we truly believe we could not have achieved this result without their expertise, patience and commitment.
