"It took us three years to commit to the change from our garage to a ground floor bedroom with en suite shower and toilet facilities. Having been in our home for over 30 years , we had amassed plenty of memories and stuff that we stored in the garage, but now in retirement , we had to make the house work for us in our later years. "We recently had our garage converted by The Garage Conversion Co and couldn't be happier with the result. From the initial conversations with Ann at the office to the first consultation with Derek to discuss our needs and help draw up the plans, the entire process was flawless. All aspects of architecture, the structural survey and building warrant were catered for on our behalf and included in the price that was agreed prior to any work commencing, a price that was agreed at outset and ultimately honoured. We were aware that we required additional internal storage for the contents of our garage that we intended to keep, and had already approached a separate firm of joiners to quote for the flooring of our loft as a solution. Following the initial consultation with Derek however, it was confirmed that this work could also be undertaken by their joiners and we were surprised at how much lower the costs proved to be by us opting to do so, than had been quoted previously. This work was carried out to a high standard and resulted in us having more loft storage space than I think we'll ever need! This paved the way for work commencing in the garage, with all services being implemented to a particularly high standard and on the dates/times agreed. Derek maintained regular contact throughout and between himself and his colleagues in the office, acted in a project management capacity which gave us great peace of mind. We were so happy with the outcome that we suggested further work to Derek, namely a media wall in our living room, which again was within their remit. We sat with Derek to agree the design/costs and we're yet again absolutely delighted with the outcome. A massive thanks to everyone involved (Ann, Emma, Derek, Gary, Connor, Liam) and to all of the subcontractors and anyone we've missed for a thoroughly enjoyable conversion/process.
