"Our experiences with this compnay have been quite mixed. We had a charming initial meeting to assess the work and we even strolled up the road to inspect other work carrried out by them on neighbouring properties. We got a quote, adjusted the work specs a little bit, got another quote. Work started in Feb '23 (ie three and and half years ago). The paving and tiling work were first class but there were some bum notes: a nice window box we had inadvertently left in the front garden area was just thrown away without the workmen asking us what should be done with it, some of the edging in the rear garden was not completed to the spec and, most importantly, the front gate post was removed to accomodate new paving and was not replaced. We were left with a hanging gate. I pointed these issues out when paying the second tranche of the invoice and told the compnay I didn't think the work had been finished to spec so I was going to withhold the final payment until it was done. We heard nothing further until August that year when our initial contact returned, agreed the work was not complete and assured us he would send round a team to complete it and to replace the missing gate post. In October one of their team was in touch suggesting they could come round to complete the work but as access was required to the rear and it was such short notice we couldn't make it. I believe we didn't hear anything further from them apart from more demands for the final payment until June '25. Finally Chris, the Director came round, the work in the back garden was done to, again, a very high standard and he promised us a new gate post would be ordered. The gate post was duly installed but when the gate was latched to it it was completely lop-sided. Chris came back to look after we complained and explained the hinges of the gate had dropped, hence the gate was no longer even. I asked him why his workman had therefore gone ahead leaving us with a rather ridiculous-looking arrangement; also that before their work began in 23 there was nothing wrong with the gate apart from it being a bit old. Chris is a nice guy and a straight talker and I got the impression that he was going to chat with the ironwork expert and come back with a solution but a year passed with the gate attached to the fence by a bungee cord. I then received another invoice. I queried it and Chris replied that he felt that they had already gone over and above with the work they had already done. So I paid and we will have to pay someone else to fix the gate. My advice to anyone thinking of using this company would be to expect long delays im communication, but to expect first class, if quite expensive, work when it starts, but be very attentive to small details in the spec like the issue of this post."
