"Wouldn’t waste your time with this company. Booked work in May 2026 for 19th June. I had to chase them for an update, only to be told they were “behind” and the job was pushed back. We then agreed on 17th July, giving them over a month’s notice. A month later they tried to push it back again because they were “behind.” As my wife is a paramedic working night shifts and we had a holiday coming up, we needed them to stick to the agreed date. After the back-and-forth messages, I called just to make sure there wasn’t any confusion. Mark answered with a rude, arrogant attitude from the start. I wasn’t asking to cancel the job, I just wanted reassurance after being let down twice. Instead, he said he could never guarantee a date, claimed even next week they might not finish because “it could thunder,” then told me my job was too small, he “didn’t need the money,” and cancelled it himself. My neighbours, who booked based on my recommendation, also cancelled. Nearly £5,000 of work lost because of one person’s attitude. If this is how they treat customers before they’ve even started the job, I’d avoid them. Update (21/07/2026): The owner’s response is quite amusing. The job has suddenly changed from almost a week’s work across our property and our neighbour’s (who booked through our recommendation) to “a small one-day job.” My wife is a paramedic and works night, so it’s not unusual sleeping hours it’s called working shifts 🤣. So I called after the job had already been postponed twice. Mark was very stand offish and wouldn’t give an explanation, then stated they “didn’t need the money,” and cancelled the job himself. I’ll let others decide which version is more believable.👍🏻"

"Mark the owner, is very rude and passive aggressive over the phone when dates cannot be met. Cancelled my order all because I wanted to know why the date had changed again and how I have limited days off etc. Anyway, as he said, he doesn't need my money. Clearly he only interested if you're spending 10k+, but I'd stay away if your budget is less. Im happy we have dodged a bullet and got someone local. I won't be recommending Pave Works."

If you’re looking for someone with vision, creativity and exceptional craftsmanship, I can’t recommend Mark and his team highly enough. "We got The PaveWorks contact details thro’ MKM builders merchants. Mark laid 55m2 of sandstone in our back garden. Matt & Mark came every day for 6 days to complete the work. The finished product is fantastic & they had suggestions to improve the layout. Nothing was a problem for them & they were very friendly & accommodating. Thanks so much for the great job!"

"I wanted a patio to lead out of my new French doors into the garden. I found the pave works by chance after a tree feller recommended them. I contacted Mark the owner and had a 6 month wait until he was free due to workload which suggested a good sign that he was in demand. After discussing what I wanted, choosing tiles and agreeing a price work commenced. Mark turned up early every morning and worked solidly until after 6pm each evening. Work took approximately a week to complete and the finished patio is outstanding. Absolutely delighted with this company and hope to employ him again soon to do another patio and possibly driveway. Book him if you can. He's so professional with fabulous ideas and great craftsmanship. You will not be disappointed."
