"I was looking for quotes to reduce the crown of a 25m tall ash tree which was subject to early onset of ash die-back, was subject to a tree preservation order and which was on the edge of a busy lane. From my initial contact with Fiona, who answered all my questions, to when Thom came out to give me a quote everything was done very professionally and with obvious knowledge of their profession. Thom suggested alternative approaches from climbing the tree to use of a van mounted access platform. Thom also suggested traffic management arrangements that would keep the lane open to traffic (one company that quoted wanted the road closed for 2 days at significant cost). The quote which was provided was very competitive and I decided to proceed. The 4 man crew arrived promptly with the mobile access platform and carried out whole job in one day in a very courteous and professional manor, leaving the site clean and tidy. The traffic management worked well. All the chippings and logs were left in a place I designated on-site. I would not hesitate in recommending The Roots Company to anyone that is considering having tree work done. Thankyou"
