"I have paid a deposit of Β£1000 and these guys have let me down for months on end im sure its been over 2 months since into the 3rd and they have made appointments and no show not once but now 3x. Hence why I have decided to cancel my order and request a official refund of my Β£1000 deposit. Very disappointed as I really got on with Richard but its unfortunate the gentleman who represented the company has fallen ill n is in hospital as maybe he was the only fella who had his heart in the right place. For a professional company to consistently make excuses and not owning their mistakes and professionalism pf letting the customers know that the appointments cancelled. No nothing so this was the last straw."
"I rarely leave negative reviewsbut my experience with Verdi Home Improvements was extremely frustrating from start to finish. The main issue was poor communication and lack of proper planning. I specifically chose this company because I was told scaffolding would not be required. The property was visited twice beforehand, yet at no point was scaffolding flagged as necessary. On the agreed installation date, the installers arrived and immediately told us they could not proceed without scaffolding. This resulted in the job being postponed on the spot. Our home had already been fully prepared for installation, furniture covered, rooms cleared, and we ended up having to live in those conditions for 5 days, even sleeping on the floor, while waiting for the work to be rescheduled. This was particularly difficult as my girlfriend is pregnant. Despite this, there was very little understanding or urgency shown from Verdi. They were reluctant to prioritise our job, even though the delay was entirely due to their own miscommunication. The issues didnβt stop there. Although the property was visited multiple times, incorrect information was passed to the scaffolding company. When the scaffolders arrived, they initially started setting up on the wrong building and marking the wrong windows. I effectively had to step in and manage the situation myself to prevent further mistakes. Throughout the whole process, I was the one constantly chasing for updates rather than being proactively informed. It felt like there was no ownership or coordination on their side. Another concerning point was that both the scaffolders and installers themselves were quite negative about Verdiβs internal coordination and communication. This did not provide any reassurance that we were being properly looked after and gave the impression that these kinds of issues are not uncommon. We raised a request for compensation given the inconvenience and disruption caused but this was rejected. To be fair, the window installers themselves did a great job on the day, they were efficient, professional and completed the work quickly and cleanly. However, the overall experience was far below expectations due to the lack of communication, organisation and accountability. I would not recommend based on this experience."
"Verdi review We instructed Verdi Home Improvements in 2025 for doors, soffits, fascia and guttering, with roof and wall coating works also discussed. Unfortunately, the overall experience was far more stressful than expected. The contract was signed on 28 August with work noted to begin βASAP / within four weeksβ. After a mid-September survey, communication became very poor. We repeatedly chased for updates, were promised call backs that never happened, and only received clear information at the end of October β nearly two months later β when we were told the roof and wall coatings could not be done until spring 2026 due to the season. This had not been explained at point of sale. We agreed to proceed with just the doors and soffits as they urgently needed replacing. Even then, scheduling was problematic, with missed days, no-shows, and work left unfinished without explanation. At one stage the house was left partially open to the elements for two days in November. The doors (installed by subcontractors) appear to be fitted well. However, the soffit, fascia and guttering work raised several issues, including damage to the rendering, poor alignment at the rear where it meets the neighbouring property, untidy patch repairs, and problems with the downpipe installation. We allowed Verdi back once for remedial works. Some items were addressed, but the overall finish still fell short of what we would reasonably expect. Our main concern was finding several roof tiles on the ground immediately after the works, which had not been there before and was not explained to us at the time. Communication around concerns and finance became difficult, with conflicting information and pressure to sign off despite unresolved issues. We eventually arranged an independent roofing inspection at our own expense. This confirmed all of our concerns about the works, and we will be paying out of our own pocket to have these issues put right, sooner than have Verdi return to our home. We signed off purely to bring a very long and stressful process to an end. Overall, while some elements are acceptable, the experience was let down by poor communication, delays, and inconsistent workmanship. It certainly didnβt feel like our home was Verdi Home Improvementβs passion as their slogan suggests."
"Verdi built a porch, put a door on the dining room to have direct access to the garden, and replaced the majority of the windows on our 1962-built semi-detached chalet bungalow. This was done by Tom and Conor in July 2025. We have had all sorts of weather conditions since; from scorching heat to windy and wet minuses. After 6 months, we are more than pleased to report that their work significantly improved the vibe of the house. We had a few damp, moldy and cold spots in the house before, which are just gone by now. The work was carried out quickly, carefully and professionally. Tom and Conor respected our small requests immediately and acted accordingly. We will definitely call the company back to replace the rest of our windows when the time of refurbishing the kitchen will come. Thank you!"
"Brilliant. Service was just brilliant. The salesman Ryan Halliday was friendly, helpful and attended to our every need. Communication was great throughout. The workmen Adam and Richard were fantastic. Attention to detail was key. We had our whole house done. 7 windows, French doors and an arched doorway and front door. The quality is amazing. Weβre so happy with the whole experience. Thereβs only one thing that I can say thatβs slightly negative. They donβt update their records. So I kept receiving calls asking me if I wanted to follow up on the quote they gave me. It happened so often it became comical. Iβm looking forward to the next time they call so I can tell them how great a job they did."
