Wrexham County Tar LTD

"Work undertaken: widened & dug up old drive. Tarmac with Petra Contemporary block edging & new front/ back door steps. The job was competitively priced and in the main carried out to a very high standard. They are an extremely professional workforce as well as being very friendly and obliging. We were given the opportunity to make adjustments to the layout of blocks/brickwork before the tarmac was put down as Patrick wanted to ensure we were happy with the end result of the look of the blocks. Unfortunately the manhole area has not been finished in keeping with the rest of the driveway and has a negative impact on the overall look. This detracts from the otherwise excellent work done. We are currently waiting for Patrick to return and discuss with us as I know he is keen to provide an excellent customer service. I will update this review/rating in line with the outcome. UPDATE Patrick returned to see us and doesn't accept there is anything wrong, he said that this is the way he does manhole areas and we will get used to it in time. The first picture is our manhole area and the tray rim is visibly not in line with the tar. It has a very untidy finish and the tar is already starting to crumble around the edges. The second picture is how it should look like. As he promoted wanting to ensure the customer is always happy whilst working on our driveway and that we have a 5 year guarantee (no documentation provided as yet) we are shocked how unwilling he is to accept our viewpoint and how unhappy we are with the finish, and will not look to try to rectify the issue without further cost to ourselves. I have not reduced the rating any further as I believe in giving credit for the rest of the work that was done etc but we have been left feeling very let down."

"From initial chat about the work to the finished job.... very much enjoyed their approach... and fitted in perfectly with us as a family. Their suggestions and choice of ending bricks was helpful. Totally recommend them to others without any hesitation."
